Our client is a transportation company that has experience rapid growth over the past several years. They provide transportation and delivery services across the U.S.
Challenge
The customer had experienced increased package delivery demand over the past few years. Their transportation ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and the associated databases were suffering from performance issues due to the increase of transactions and data associated with the customer’s business growth. The customer was also considering a database upgrade and migration.
Solution
Doozer performed an initial database assessment to evaluate the current technology environment and identify the source of the performance issues. Multiple sources for the performance issues were identified and we confirmed that the customer needed to upgrade their database servers and optimize the I/O subsystem. Doozer then performed the upgrade and migration with no loss of data and minimal downtime to the customer’s schedule.
